Dr Xinlin Dong

Xinlin (Xin) is originally from China Mainland. He graduated from the University of Sydney’s Sydney School of Veterinary Science, Faculty of Science, completing the Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in January 2025.

Following graduation, Xin began his veterinary career in the Australian Capital Territory, where he quickly developed a strong appreciation for the local community and lifestyle. He joined our team in May 2026 and is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to his patients and their families.

His primary clinical interest is small animal surgery, with a particular appreciation for the combination of technical skills, clinical decision-making and problem-solving involved in surgical cases. He enjoys working closely with both patients and their owners to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Xin is a native Mandarin speaker and is currently learning French, Japanese and Italian, reflecting his ongoing interest in languages and different cultures.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Xin is an enthusiastic Tokusatsu fan and enjoys science-fiction, detective stories and productions. He is also currently writing a Mandarin-language novel, combining his interests in storytelling, creativity and culture.
